the streets...
Over the past couple of weeks, i have realised that i have become somehow obsessed with the kind of fashion that goes on in the streets. I have literally been on a hundred blogs and sites doing my research on what others percieve to be "street fashion". It was such a breath of fresh air seeing what people think about fashion, be it on the streets or the runway. It really is an amazing experience to read the stories of these individuals. These images are just what i would love to see happening in the streets of Jo'burg. These images have somehow reminded me why i fell in love with fashion to begin with. Fashion that is about functionability, comfort and transformation. Isn't that what fashion is about? Stepping it up and revolutionising the "norms" and "conformities"? I think it is...

A PRECIOUS JEWEL OF OUR TIME...
Some had labelled her "Queen of cheap" amd some just saw her as a leader of the BWS Movement (you will know what BWS is if u read this blog as often as u should. Refer to blog "COLOUR BLOK-KINGS and QUEENS). However, one thing for sure, cheap or not, this woman fuelled her own fashion revolution.

For a long time some have seen Malcolm X as a symbol of freedom and hope. For me, however, he was all of this and more but i think that at the same time, Malcolm was starting a revolution that even perhaps HE was not aware of. FASHION!!!
